STRESS/ANXIETY
Did you know that stress is now the number one condition affecting people's
lives? People take more days off work as a result of stress and stress related
illness than anything else. It can manifest itself in so many ways, has
a debilitating affect on our immune systems, can cause sleepless nights
and has our adrenalin levels rising so we are in a constant state of anxiety.
All of which has a negative effect on our health. We become more impatient,
emotionally hijacked by trivia and less able to make decisions/judgements
based on cool calm logic.
Recent
research has shown that more than half of British workers say they have
experienced symptoms of overwork and burn out during the last six months.
This can lead to depression, anxiety and insomnia which in turn can lead
to more stress. It is a treadmill that many people find difficult to step
off. Anti depressants are not always the answer and studies have shown that
